The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) was established by an act of Jammu and Kashmir State Legislative Assembly in November 2005. It is located 28 km away from the summer capital of the state, Srinagar.
IUST is a government university located at Awantipora, Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. It has been set up as a centre for higher learning for the people of the Jammu and Kashmir State and its neighbouring regions and is recognised by the UGC and AICTE and is a member of AIU.
