Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test - JKCET 2018

The JKCET (Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the JAKBOPEE (J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations) for admission to various undergraduate courses including in engineering, medical, dental and agriculture.

JKCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for JKCET 2018 are as follows:
  • The Applicants should be a resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • The Applicants should score a minimum of 50% marks in their 12th or 10 2 from a recognized university or board (40% for candidates belonging to the reserved category).
  • For the engineering courses, the subject combination of the applicant should be PCM (Physics, chemistry, Mathematics) and English at the 10 2 level.
  • For BDS, MBBS, BAMS/BUMS, Physiotherapy courses, the subject combination of the applicant should be PCB (Physics, chemistry, Biology) and English at the 10 2 level.
  • The applicants who are appearing for their 10 2 or 12th examination are also eligible to apply JKCET 2018.
  • Those candidates belonging to P&B and TFW don’t come under the reserved category.
  • There are age requirements for applicants applying for BDS, MBBS, BUMS and BAMS courses, and should be minimum of 17 years of age.

JKCET 2018 Application Process

The applicants can apply for JKCET 2018 using both online as well as offline mode.

Online Mode
The candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of JKCET 2018 i.e. http://www.jakbopee.org/. After providing all the necessary information in the application form, the payment of Rs. 1000/- can also be made online.

Offline Mode
For the offline mode, the applicants are required to obtain the application form from district headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir Bank by paying application fees of Rs. 1200. The form should be filled up using black or ball point and send the application to the registered address.
