University of Kashmir M.Phil and Ph.D Entrance Test 2019

University of Kashmir M.Phil and Ph.D Entrance Test is conducted by the University for admission to M.Phil and Ph.D programs in various disciplines such as Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Kashmiri, Library and Information Science, Persian and Sanskrit.

University of Kashmir M.Phil and Ph.D Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria

For M.Phil Programmes

Candidates seeking admission to M.Phil Programmes must have scored a minimum of 55o% marks at Masters.

Note: JRF/ NET/ SET/ qualified candidates and College Teachers with five years of teaching experience shall be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test.

For Ph.D Programmes

Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D programme must have obtained M.Phil degree with at least B grade.

Besides the following categories of candidates shall be eligible for direct admission to- Ph.D programme:-

Candidate’s having qualified JRF from National Examining Bodies.
Secretaries/ Directors/ or Officers of equivalent cadre/ College/ School teachers with at least 15 years experience on substantive basis.
Candidates having secured at least 65% of marks at the Masters level in the subject and at least 60% of marks in the Entrance Test.

University of Kashmir M.Phil and Ph.D Entrance Test Pattern

The entrance test shall comprise of the question paper of Objective and Subjective type questions set from the syllabi available for the purpose of the university website.

Application form are available at the Sale Counter of University of Kashmir on payment of Rs.25/- Besides an Entrance Test fee of Rs.175/- is to be deposited separately in the University Chest.
